Neofonie WePad starting at 449 Euro
neofonie has today held a press conference in Berlin to provide more details about its 11.6-inch tablet known as WePad. As previously revealed the upcoming tablet measures 288 x 190 x 13 mm and weights 800 grams (850 grams with 3G), has a magnesium-aluminum casing and features a 11.6-inch (1366x768) multi-touch screen, a 1.66 GHz Atom N450 CPU, 16GB or 32GB of flash storage, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a card reader, two USB ports, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, optional 3G and GPS, an accelerometer, and a battery enabling up to 6 hours of operation.
The WePad runs Android, has Flash support and is set to be up for pre-order in Germany from April 27 in two versions
- WePad 'standard' - 16GB storage, WiFi - 449 Euro
- WePad 3G - 32GB storage, WiFi, 3G, GPS, a HDMI output and Full HD video capabilities (likely via a Broadcom chip) - 569 Euro.The tablet will begin shipping in July but mass availability is slated for August.
