Acer Announces Aspire Ethos Series 5943G, 8943G Laptops
Acer has released the first two models of the new Acer Aspire Ethos series multimedia-oriented laptops.
The 15.6-inch 5943G and 18.4-inch 8943G feature the Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB dedicated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1.28TB of storage space using two HDDs, and a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive.
The Aspire Ethos 5943G has a display resolution of 1366×768 pixels, while the 8943G is full HD with 1920×1080. Both screens use LED backlight.
Acer’s new notebooks also include an optional DVB-T TV tuner, integrated 2.1 (5943G) or 5.1 speakers (8943G) with subwoofers, HDMI and VGA outputs, web camera, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
The 7.3-pound 5943G 10.1-pound 8943G have 8-cell batteries which provide up to 3.5 hours of run time.
Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.
