Kia released today the first photos with its new Magentis sedan, a new car which will be officially revealed in April, at the New York Auto Show. The new car is set to go on sale later this year in the United States and Korea, where it is known as the Optima while the European market will receive it later in 2011. As you can see from the photos the new Magentis follows the same design as the other cars from the Korean manufacturer, introduced by its chief designer Peter Schreyer. Kia promises that the new Magentis will be longer, wider and lower than the previous version and will use a longer wheelbase than the outgoing car. Under the hood we will find Kia’s next generation of petrol and diesel engines, while the most popular choice will definitely be the 2.0-litre diesel taken from the new Sportage, which will be introduced in March, at the Geneva Motor Show.
